I’m really looking forward to this module now. When I read the title of it, I thought it was going to be boring but now I have seen what we are going to be doing I think I’m going to enjoy this one 😀

Hey Julie. I’m also looking forward to this module, though I already find it challenging. I’m pretty OK at writing, but then you can delay pressing the ‘submit’ button for ages, right up until the deadline. Here you’ve got to keep the momentum going, so your personality inevitably comes it, and that’s what unsettles me. ‘Going public’ or ‘coming out’ with your thoughts and responses makes me think of that image of the target above our heads that Alison showed us on the Action Research module. The lack of visual cues means that messages can be read in any number of ways, and are affected by how we feel at that particular moment. I guess we’ve just got to do it.
Honestly Craig, there is NO reason for you to be worried about your thoughts and responses. You come up with really good and relevant comments in class and have done so already in your blog.
I kind of know what you mean though – putting things in writing is more intimidating, especially if you are not very confident in what you are saying. Once its there; its there and it can’t be taken back, even when you realise that what you have said might be absolute rubbish.
Just remember that we are all here to learn, so we are bound to make mistakes. We might feel a numpty when we make them – but I usually find that to be the best way to learn … I’m very good at making mistakes but I think that also makes me a better learner!
